Get Moving

Health and fitness studies are increasingly finding that it’s important to move more throughout the day, maybe even more than for one block of time each day. Many of us are tied to computers, desks, counters, or couches and remain sedentary for stretches of time. So, here are some ideas of ways to get moving more throughout the day.

  • Go to a different floor to get a drink or use the lavatory
  • Go up the stairs twice as fast as you usually do (But beware, I found it is possible to stub your toe- who would have thought!?!)
  • Stop every hour you’re working and jog in place or do jumping jacks for two minutes
